I probably should've called my last post, My Favorite Things To Do In Pictures. Because my favorite thing should be Jesus Christ, first in my life. Here is my Top Ten Favorite Things Period. ( I could only find 6 so the 4 of them are things I like doing that I should've put in the last post!

Laughter is the best medicine!

Well... Advil and Polysporin is good too but i'm talking real, helpful, medicine that will cheer anybody up! Any time you feel down just click on my blog and look at this post! Well really you should look at this picture:

Isn't that so true and funny at the same time! I think for my brother it was, " The most important thing in life is to be yourself...unless you can be SPIDERMAN always be spiderman!"
One day when Justin was about 3 years old my dad went to the midnight showing of Spiderman.....dressed as Spiderman! He came home really late and didn't want to wake anybody up so he took of his costume at the bottom of the stairs and went into bed. The next morning Justin woke up, went down stairs and saw the costume at the bottom of the stairs! He gasped and said " My daddy's spiderman!" * gasp* " My daddy's spiderman, my daddy's spiderman!!!" We let him belive for a long time until he saw the spiderman movie!

Paradise!!!!

OKay maybe not for you.. but it is for me! I'm in FLORIDA! It is so nice here, I'm going to try not to brag but i might I so I apologize in advance for any brokenhearts, jealousness or anybody super super mad at me for being in Florida and not taking you. We got here at around midnight and you would think we were tired, but no... we just spent the whole day driving, flying or being squished into a Cubian taxi drivers tiny car! ( no really) So we kinda stayed up till about 1am! All we did yesterday was.... NOTHING! Literally nothing! We swam, read books on the beach and went boogeyboarding! The only real thing we did was going shopping! I had tons of fun though! Today or tomorrow we might be renting these surfboard things that you stand on and paddle with! Check out my blog tomorrow night to see!
And also who else got either a Flo-Rida song or that one song " I Wanna go Back to Paradise" stuck in their head right now????

He's ALIVE!

Well.... not yet! He's almost Alive! Every Easter we make He's Alive Buns. They are kinda of like Hot Cross Buns but with an easter story! We usally invite all of the kids in our neighborhood to join, Here is what we do:
We start by telling how and why Jesus died on the cross, then we take PIllsbury cresent rolls and a marshmellow and say that the marshmellow is Jesus and the cresent roll is the linens the put Him in. We tell them to roll the marshmellow ( Jesus) in side the cresent rolls ( the linens) really tightly! After that we tell the kids how Mary and some other women came by and put spices on his body, We shake cinnomon sugar on the marshmellow-cresent rolls to represent that. Finnaly we put the cresent rolls into the oven ( the tomb) and have the kids "stand guard." The best part is, is when the cresent rolls are done and the marshmellow has melted, We tell the kids that Jesus rose again and He is gone. ( I belived it forever whne i was little, now i just make them cuase the taste REALLY good)!
I am going to post the recipe ( down below) so you can make them next year beaucse they taste sooooooo good!

• Ingredients:
• Refrigerator Biscuits-1 roll (Pillsbury or similar)
• Large Marshmallows-1 per biscuit
• Melted butter
• Sugar & Cinnamon mixture - I am not exactly sure on the amounts of butter and cinnamon/sugar, just enough to cover the buns.

 

Directions:

Wrap one biscuit around 1 marshmallow. dip in butter and roll in cinnamon/sugar.
Bake as directed on the refrigerator biscuit package.
The Marshmallow will melt and the bun will be hollow inside.




Share a passage like John 20 6:7 with your children.When Mary told the disciples the stone had been removed from the entrance, the disciples ran to the tomb.  John was the first to arrive and look inside.  Peter entered and saw the linen that had been wrapped around Jesus lying flat as if the body evaporated.  The tomb was empty!  (just like the He's Alive Buns are empty)

Phew! It's HOT out there!

Wait a minute... isn't only the begininning of April?? Then why is there three boys jumping on my trampoline in shorts and tee shirts! I thought for sure when i go to Flordia it would be super cold and possibly even snowy! But boy was I wrong! I ate a POPSICLE at 10am! I didn't even go in side to eat lunch! I had an outdoor picnic. I am not saying i wish there was snow ( which i certainly am not) I'm just saying I'm very, very surprised by this crazy weather! I was even wearing shorts during spring break!! 
The craziest thing about this weather is that everybody said in the winter... " I wish it was hotter." and " I wish it was sunnier." and when the sun finnaly came out then people said, " Don't get your hopes up, it's going to snow again." and " We're going to have an other big snowstorm you know!" But guess what... It hasn't snowed again and i highly doubt it will again. Quick question, what did you guys think of this winter? I love skiing and skating and sledding so I thought this winter was SUCKISH! I really wanted a ton of snow becuase I am huge ski bunny! But i also am in love with this weather! That's why i want to know what you guys thought!

All my hair... GONE!!!

Yes, the title says it all... I got 12 INCHES of hair cut off on Tuesday! I gave it all to Locks of Love ( a place where they use donated hair to make wigs for people with cancer)! I haevnever had short hair in my LIFE so this is really, really, wierd! But i think it looks good and maybe, just maybe i have gotton used to it!

HAPPY EASTER/Random story!

We are going to Flordia ( YAY!!! ) on Easter so tomorrow is our official easter!
I want to know what your Easter tradtions are!
Mine is starting on Palm Sunday we read the Bible throught Holy Week at breakfast! We usually get a litttle bit of candy and a devontional book. Please post a comment or write me an email about what you do for Easter. My email is saylorspy@hotmail.com  .
I was really excited this morning beacuse i thought i was going to sleep in.... but no... Karis and Justin decided to get up a 7am to go to the skateboard park! That might not sound to ba, but boy were they noisy! I ended up waking up at 7:45! Okay, now you can feel sorry for me!
